Minor damage can be repaired with a fine-grit whetstone. Mixing the filler: Use high-quality, fine-grained filler. Mix the filler to a very fine, soft, and moderately viscous consistency. Ensure it is neither too dry nor too runny. Proper handling: Position: Hold the handle with both hands. Your thumbs should press against the back of the putty knife, and your remaining fingers should grip the handle firmly. Maintain an angle of 15°–30° between the putty knife and the wall. Application principle: Apply even and continuous pressure. Primarily utilize the overall movement of your body and arm, not the force of your wrist. Applying the filler: Apply the filler in a straight, elongated motion and avoid back-and-forth movements. Each scraping pass should slightly overlap the previous one to ensure complete coverage.
